Art and Activism

About

This guide is for students in Anastasia Aukeman's Integrative Seminar 2 course and anyone else who is interested in researching art and activism.

Resources

1.  Find books in BobCat using keywords such as art and activism.

Go to the details page and check out the subject headings; you can use these to find related items.

2.  Brainstorm, or survey search results, to think about related or specific subjects that you might be interested in and combine those subjects with the keyword art or design.  For example:

Abortion
HIV / AIDS
Feminism
Homelessness
Homophobia
Migration/Refugees
Racism
Slavery
Violence
War

Of course, you also look for materials on specific activist artists.

Don't forget that you can have books delivered to the New School Libraries with E-ZBorrow - whether we own the book and it's checked out, or the book is not in BobCat!

3.  Find ebooks in Ebook Central.

4.  Find articles in Art & Architecture Source or other art databases.

5.  Sign up for Refworks to make citing easy!
