A Collection of MATESOL Teaching and Learning materials is located in the Reference Room of the Fogelman Library, on the first floor of 55 W. 13th Street

Offsite Storage Requests through BobCat

Because of space limitations at the New School Libraries, a number have materials have been sent to an offsite location. These materials are still accessible and may be requested through BobCat.

Search for the title you need in BobCat. Check on the "check library holdings (getit)" link. Please note: If the link reads "Available in your library" or "Available in consortium" than you do not need to place a request. You can pick these item up at the lending library.

If the location indicates that it is offsite, you will need to submit a request (indicated by the blue link on the left-hand side of the record).

Select "Request" next to the item you wish to recall or request from off-site

You will then be prompted to enter your University ID number and the first four letters of your last name*. If your last name consists of three letters or less, you can simply use your full last name.
*Note: this step is unnecessary if you have already logged in.

Press the "Order" button at the bottom of the page

Press the "Order" button again.

We will send you and email once your request is available for pick up.  Please note that Offsite items requested before noon will be delivered the following day (except Sundays).  Offsite items requested after noon will be delivered in two days (except Sundays).  If an item has not been delivered within two days, please contact the Circulation Department.

Use the Books & More search form on the New School Libraries & Archives website to find Books:
•For Background Information and In-depth Research 
•To obtain Bibliographies (list of articles and other books) you can follow up on.

 

 Fill in Search Form with your Keywords
►Select: That Contain My Query Words         Anywhere in the Record
►Limit to: Book

Check under Refine My Results to pick a Publication Date range, Subject area

Combine Subject words with your own Keywords in an Advanced Search:
The Subject Heading for TESOL is

All students have access to Full Text Electronic Books via Ebrary:

Log into your my.newschool  account

Click on Library tab

Go to Electronic Resources box

Click on Browse Databases by Title

Go to Letter "E" and Click on Ebrary

Cick Advanced next to Search box and use Advanced Search
