Summer 2021 Reserves Letter to Faculty

Dear Faculty:

The New School Libraries remain dedicated to helping you plan for the Summer 2021 session and beyond, providing you and your students access to the resources that you need free from concerns about paying for content or licensing and copyright.

Request Your E-Reserves

Request your course materials as soon as possible through the Course Reserves service in Canvas

The New School Libraries provides online access to academic resources including articles, books, statistical sources, etc. We are not placing physical items on Reserve for the Summer 2021 session though we plan for physical Reserves to resume in the Fall. Please be aware that textbook ordering is still not available from Barnes & Noble (please see our statement on Textbooks in the Library). Librarians can help you identify electronic options or Open Education Resources (OERs) as an alternative to printing and copying, specifically for textbooks.

We are anticipating that Library staff will still have access to onsite physical materials and will be offering scanning services though all services are subject to change. For library news and details about changes to our services, please see our Updates and Resources guide.
