Dear New School Community:
Though the physical spaces are currently closed, the Libraries continue to offer services during COVID-19, which will continue through the Summer semester.
Please note that NYU spaces are available to a limited number of NYU students only, and for restricted purposes. However, The New School has been offering book pick-up, printing, scanning, making, and practice spaces for the last two semesters. For more information about on-campus services, see the Campus Access page of The New School website, and to book a quiet study space, go to The New School: Get Space.
May 2020 and May 2021 graduates will continue to have remote access to online library resources through September 13.
For Fall, the Libraries expects its physical public spaces to reopen by August 23, following all University health guidelines. A list of services and updates can be found on our Updates guide. Please chat or Ask Us your questions at any time.
When we reopen our spaces, we expect to offer the following services: bookable rooms, physical reserves, printers and scanners, and laptops for check out.
While some staff, such as Subject Librarians and University Learning Center Tutors, will be working remotely, they will be available virtually for appointments and walk-in help. For students who are on campus and need a private space to meet with a librarian or tutor, bookable spaces will be available.
