Find resources on researching neighborhoods in the 5 boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island
To access: Go to the library website and click on 'Browse Databases.' The databases are organized alphabetically, by subject, and by type.
Ask Us if you need help selecting a research database, or if you have any suggestions or recommendations.
Library databases complement the library catalog. We subscribe to hundreds of research databases and the library catalog links to only a portion of them.
Many of our databases index periodical articles -- newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals. They allow you to perform complex searches, and they feature tools for managing research.
The New York Public Library subscribes to a large number of databases.
