If you are interested in print photographs, please consider:

The New York Public Library's Picture Collection

The Photography Section of the University Center Library (7th Floor, TR section)

Current & Archived Periodicals, such as VogueHarper's Bazaar, or Women's Wear Daily (TT section)
Videos can be found in the Performing Arts Library and in various databases in the New School Libraries.

In the catalog, you can narrow down to 'Video' under 'Resource Types' on the left-side of the results page.

Google Images is great! But, it can be hard to find the original source for an image. 

It is very important that you cite your images when you use them for a research project

If you don't know where an image is from, reverse image search by right-clicking the photo and 'Search Google for Image.' This is required if you find something on Pinterest or Reddit and if you don't know where it came from.
