Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative Podcast is a collection of insights from educators, entrepreneurs, funders and community leaders seeking to demystify access to capital and illuminate pathways toward successful impact ventures. 

  • 2024 PowerUP Business Plan Competition Orientation: Participants will have the opportunity to win $20,000 to start their Brooklyn-based business. Information sessions are scheduled in March 2024 and April 2024 – three virtual and two in-person. Register to attend one of these sessions for more details about the Competition and how to apply. 
  • MADE.COM TALENTLAB: Prize: If your design is selected, you’ll be contacted by MADE.COM You’ll then be asked to submit your technical drawings and sign a contract. You’ll still own the IP for your design, and MADE will have an exclusive license to sell it, with you receiving royalties on the sales. Deadline: ongoing
  • Art Bound Full Scholarship Internship and a paid internship with Code & Theory: Paid internship and scholarship for the Artbound Initiative Program. The ArtBound Initiative Creative Diversity Scholarship scheme is designed to help students and recent grads launch their career in the creative industries. This scheme offers you:A Full Scholarship for the ArtBound Initiative internship program which includes personalized coaching, events, networking opportunities and access to an international network of alumni. A paid remote internship opportunity this Spring in New York with the agency Code & Theory.   • New York’s FAST NY Shovel-Ready Grant Program: Governor Hochul announced plans for the Focused Attraction of Shovel-Ready Tracts New York Grant Program - FAST NY - to attract and expand key growth industries to New York State. The State's Fiscal 2023 budget will make up to $200 million available to the grant program to develop sites that will attract high tech manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, and logistics businesses to the State. If you would like to express interest in, and receive updates about, the FAST NY Shovel-Ready Grant Program, please complete the FAST NY program intake form.
  • Fast Break for Small Businesses: From the National Basketball Association [NBA] and LegalZoom. The grant program will target minority - and women-owned businesses, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Applications for the second round of grants will open again in Spring 2022, and will be awarded twice a year for the next three years.

  • Global NY Fund Grant Program: Empire State Development’s $35 million Global NY Fund Grant Program provides grants and loans to help New York State’s small and medium-sized businesses go global and create new jobs. The Global NY Fund Grant Program is open to New York State companies and non-profit organizations seeking to create or expand direct exports. All export grants are awarded on a reimbursable basis. (Please note this grant is currently paused).
