The sociology of religion as a subfield is copiously represented in this index, with over 38,000 results in English alone, spread over scholarly journals, books and book chapters, conference papers and proceedings (The American Sociological Association is uniquely assiduous in collecting this particular grey literature.), and dissertations and theses.
