  • If a building is designed by a well-known architect, try searching Books & More, the library catalog, for books on the architect, architectural firm or building. 
  • If a building is architecturally notable, try searching Art & Architecture source for articles with drawings and illustrations about the building or JSTOR for images or drawings. (Links below)

  • Search for the material or building type in DETAIL Inspiration database. (Link below) 
  • Search for the material or building type using Books & More to find books or eBooks. 
  • Search for the building type in Art & Architecture Source for articles with drawings and illustrations about the building type or material or in JSTOR or images or drawings. (Links below.)
  • Browse the collection Avery/GSAPP Architectural Plans and Sections (Columbia University) in JSTOR. (Link below)
